The BTS has just released their new single Butter and the music video of the song broke their own record for the biggest music video premiere on YouTube, racking up 3.9 million peak concurrents. As we know that BTS work with other producers and songwriters, the septet got international writers onboard for Butter. However, the group members had to tweak some lines to suit their style. In a recent press conference, the BTS revealed that there was some sort of competition amond the rappers in order to shortlist their lyrics for the song. “When we received the song, we felt that its rap part needed some arrangement that could match our own styles. So, Suga, J-Hope, and I got to participate in rewriting the verses. It was a competition, and I was lucky enough to get selected,” RM was quoted as saying by Koreaboo. Suga admitted that it was quite tough for him to write the lyrics in English since he had to study it but miserably failed at it. "I’d actually studied English in order to write for “Butter”, since it’s an English song, but yeah, I failed mercilessly,” he said. But in the end, it was RM's (who is apparently fluent in English) lyrics that made it to the final version of Butter.

Butter is the second BTS song after Dynamite to be performed entirely in English, which vastly improves its prospects at radio. The song is a dance pop track with the band's distinctive baseline and crisp synth sounds. The choreography is a combination of group and unit dances, with highlight gestures such as stroking of hair, blowing kisses and walking on tiptoes.

The Korean boy band sensation BTS won all categories nominated for and Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny also won multiple awards at the Billboard Music Awards that took place at Los Angeles, Sunday night.

Meanwhile, BTS has announced an online live-streaming event, BTS 2021 Muster SOWOOZOO, to celebrate the eighth anniversary of the band and their fandom, known as ARMY. The two-day event will be held on June 13 and 14. June 14 will see the World Tour Version and showcase the group's foreign language songs. The group made the announcement with an official poster of the event, which has the seven-member band standing together against a backdrop of nature, holding planets of the solar system on strings like balloons.
