Who’s Performing on the Billboard Music Awards: BTS, the Weeknd, Doja Cat & SZA, Duran Duran and More - Variety

With a star-studded lineup of performers and presenters, the Billboard Music Awards are back, airing live on NBC Sunday in all time zones, starting at 8 p.m ET/ 5 p.m. PT.

Among the A-listers set to perform live at the 2021 BBMAs are the Weeknd, who is up for 16 awards, and BTS, who will perform the group’s just-released song “Butter” remotely from Korea.

Pink, who will receive the 2021 Icon Award, is also set to take the stage, and Duran Duran will debut a brand new song with Blur’s Graham Coxon.

Celebrating the 20-year anniversary of “Songs in A Minor,” Alicia Keys will perform a special medley of songs from the smash hit debut album.

Nick Jonas, who will also assume hosting duties, will join the Jonas Brothers onstage with Marshmello for a performance of their new song “Leave Before You Love Me.”

Doja Cat and SZA will team up to perform their hit single “Kiss Me More,” and H.E.R., Migos and DJ Khaled will bring to life their new single “We Going Crazy.”

Bad Bunny will hit the stage with “Te Deseo Lo Mejor,” and Karol G will perform a medley of her hit songs “Bichota” and “El Makinon.”

Seven-time BBMA winners Twenty One Pilots, who are up for two awards this year, will perform “Shy Away” from their new album “Scaled And Icy.”

Two groups making their awards show debuts are AJR, who will perform “Bang!” and “Way Less Sad,” and Glass Animals, who will light up the stage with the hit single “Heat Waves.”

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis will join Sounds of Blackness and Ann Nesby for a performance of their ’90s R&B hit “Optimistic” from Prince’s Paisley Park in Minneapolis.

Presenters at this year’s BBMAs include Cynthia Erivo, Chelsea Handler, Dixie D’Amelio, Gabrielle Union, Henry Golding, Kathryn Hahn, Kelsea Ballerini, Lena Waithe, Leslie Odom, Jr., Lil Rel Howery, Padma Lakshmi, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Swizz Beatz and Tina Knowles-Lawson, who will present Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth with the Billboard Change Maker award.

Holding the title for most BBMAs with 27, Drake will receive the prestigious Artist of the Decade Award.

Broadcast and cable viewers can see the show on NBC. For those without TV access, the production can also be streamed live on Peacock. Peacock Premium is currently offering a seven-day free trial.

The show can also be seen on the Hulu With Live TV plan, which offers live access to NBC offerings. SlingTV and fuboTV are two other offerings that include live NBC programming. All of these platforms offer seven-day free trials as well.
