IZ*ONE confirmed to disband in April; Miyawaki Sakura approached by Big Hit Entertainment

A Kpop group disbanding is a piece of sad news, irrespective of whether you are a fan of the group or not. According to a report by E- Daily Star, On March 10, Mnet released an official statement confirming that IZ*ONE will be disbanding in April, after a period of two and a half years. The twelve members of the group Jang Won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Jo Yu-ri, Choi Ye-Na, An Yu-jin, Nako Yabuki, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Hitomi Honda, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-Ju, and Lee Chae-Yeon will be returning to their respective agencies and continue their activities separately. Additionally, Mnet also announced that a two-day online concert 'ONE, THE STORY' will be held on March 13 and 14 with the fans who love IZ*ONE.

On March 11, IZ*ONE's management agencies, Off The Record and Swing Entertainment, released an official statement regarding the group’s upcoming disbandment. They revealed that IZ*ONE’s official fan cafe, content, and social media will operate until the end of the project, and future plans, for these platforms, will be announced via a separate statement later on. They expressed gratitude to WIZ*ONE (IZ*ONE) fans for their continued love and support.

Meanwhile, according to an exclusive report by Hankyung, IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura has been approached by Big Hit Entertainment with the prospect of signing an exclusive artist contract. She is currently reviewing the offer and is most likely to consider it too. If things go as planned, she will be part of Big Hit Entertainment's upcoming girl group.
