Kanye West Wins Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at 2021 Grammys
Jesus Is King, released in 2019, beat out albums by Hillsong Young & Free, Tauren Wells, and others
Kanye West has won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album during the 2021 Grammy Awards for his album Jesus Is King. The rapper’s ninth solo album beat out full-lengths by Hillsong Young & Free, Tauren Wells, We the Kingdom, and Cody Carnes. It marks the 22nd Grammy win of West’s career.
Following Jesus Is King, West released another album featuring the Sunday Service Choir, Jesus Is Born, in early January 2020. Last fall, amid his ultimately failed presidential run, the rapper released a new song called “Nah Nah Nah.”
