SHINee member Minho wins hearts with his emotional 'good uncle' response when a young girl asks about Jonghyun

SHINee members recently made an appearance on JTBC's variety show Knowing Bros to promote their latest comeback, Don't Call Me. Throughout the show, Super Junior's Heechul made sweet and subtle references to SHINee's late vocalist Kim Jonghyun, making his presence felt in the show. Shawols worldwide were emotionally touched by Heechul's kind words and have always believed and carried forward the 'Five or Nothing' adage proudly! Now SHINee's lead rapper Minho took it upon himself to educate the newer set of fans about their group and the omnipresent, Jonghyun.

On March 3, SHINee members appeared in an ODG STUDIO video to sit down and review their K pop careers with the younger generation, who weren't well versed with the group's music. Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin each sat with a different kid, introducing them to SHINee's illustrious legacy and music, and reflecting upon the time that has passed by. Each pair watched different performances and listened to various songs by SHINee on the series titled, Kids Review K-Pop Star's Career (Feat, SHINee). However, one inquisitive little girl was curious to know why one member was missing. The little girl was referring to late Jonghyun, who passed away in 2017. Minho, who was visibly emotional at this query, calmly explained to her that he was backstage as he was not feeling well. The little girl was relieved to know that and stated, "oh, then he's not a bad uncle." Minho smiled and reiterated, "Yes, he's not a bad uncle, he's a good uncle."

Shawols couldn't help but feel emotional at Minho's heartwarming response to the little girl. Fans also commended his maturity and thoughtfulness in handling the issue sensitively. Meanwhile, SHINee’s comeback single Don’t Call Me gets its first win at Show Champion.
