Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige won't budge much when pressed for more information about his and writer Michael Waldron's Star Wars film.
In an interview with Collider, Feige was cagey when it came to any new tidbits about what could be expected from his visit to a galaxy far, far away. When asked about the status of the script from Waldron, who served as the creator and head writer on the Loki Disney+ series, Feige said it was, "In the works, in progress." He was also asked if the project would be a solo movie or something that could be rolled into a Disney+ series, to which he said, "It's not about Han Solo. Han Solo is not in it, though."
These evasive answers fit a long-established pattern that the Marvel Studios president and producer has used ever since the project was announced back in 2019. While he has previously hinted at actors and characters that might be featured -- without giving explicit details -- he has confirmed that his Star Wars project would not involve a Disney+ series, while also stating that his focus is more on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As the person behind the massive and secretive world of the MCU, Feige has become adept at answering questions without revealing any pertinent information, even when it comes to projects that extend outside of it. For now, his plate is full with Phase 4 of the MCU, including upcoming films like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home in December and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022, all of which had been postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Any further details on Feige's foray into Star Wars will have to wait.
