Love Island Australia star thinks Asia is a COUNTRY and that Bali is in Thailand - despite working in the travel industry
A Love Island Australia contestant has shocked viewers with her lack of knowledge of basic geography.
Tayla Mellington, from the Gold Coast, made several blunders on Tuesday's episode, including thinking that Asia is a country.
Her ignorance is even more startling because she works as a customer service representative in the travel industry.
Cringe: Love Island Australia star Tayla Mellington made several blunders on Tuesday's episode, including thinking that Asia is a country
Her first mistake came while speaking to co-star Ryan Reid, who told her he once rode an ostrich while visiting Vietnam.
'Aw, Vietnam's like Thai... like Asia?' she said, sounding confused.
'You know what's so bad? I work in travel and I don't know where anything is!' she admitted.

Tayla added: 'People call up and say, "I'm going from Bali to Thailand," and I'm like, "Is that international travel?" I wouldn't know. Or is that domestic?'
She then said Bali and Thailand 'are all in the same f**king country'.
Ryan tried to explain the basics to her, but made a mistake himself by incorrectly saying that Singapore is in Indonesia.

Laughing out loud, Tayla responded: 'I did not know that. No idea!'
Viewers were shocked by the pair's lack of knowledge, with one commenting on social media: 'She should be fired from her travel job!'
'Not a brain cell to rub together,' another wrote, while a third added: 'Did she just put all of Asia in one bubble?'
