The 2021 Grammy Awards take place today (March 14) in Los Angeles, California. The broadcast and livestream of the main ceremony begin at 8 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific) on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+, which is offering a 30-day free trial. How to Watch the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony®

Most Grammy Awards are handed out during the daytime at the Premiere Ceremony®. The 2021 pre-show begins at 3 p.m. Eastern and streams live on GRAMMY.com and the Recording Academy’s YouTube page. The Premiere Ceremony® is being hosted by Album of the Year nominee Jhené Aiko and will begin with a performance of Marvin Gaye’s “Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology).” Among those participating in the Gaye tribute are Kamasi Washington, Alexandre Desplate, PJ Morton, Grace Potter, Gregory Porter, Bebel Gilberto, and the Afro-Peruvian Jazz Orchestra.

After “Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology),” the Premiere Ceremony® will feature performances from Burna Boy, Lido Pimienta, Rufus Wainwright, Poppy, the jazz band Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science, the blues musician Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, and pianist Igor Levit.

Handing out Grammy Awards during the Premiere Ceremony® are comedian Bill Burr, Best New Artist nominee Chika, Lupita Infante, and Jimmy Jam.

How to Watch the Grammys Red Carpet

There will be fewer people than usual at this year’s Grammys, as everyone adheres to COVID-19 protocols. But that doesn’t mean you won’t get a chance to see your favorite musicians walk the red carpet. People will livestream a pre-show that features interviews with the 2021 nominees and performers. The show, People & Entertainment Weekly Red Carpet Live: Grammy Awards, will stream at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on PEOPLE.com and EW.com, as well as People and EW’s respective social media channels, People’s YouTube channel, and the PeopleTV app.

How to Watch the Grammys Main Ceremony

Unlike the 2020 Grammys, which took place at the STAPLES Center, the 2021 Main Ceremony will broadcast live from an undisclosed location in Los Angeles. According to Ben Winston (who is executive-producing his first Grammys telecast), the venue will have four stages for performances and another for presenters. And, after hosting the 2019 and ’20 editions, Alicia Keys is not returning for her third straight Grammys. Instead, Trevor Noah will take the reins as the 2021 host.

The 2021 Grammy Awards broadcast begins at 8 p.m. Eastern on CBS. For those without traditional cable, you can stream the show live on Paramount+. Other options for cordless live TV include Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV.
