Michelin stars for Thai restaurants - Borneo Bulletin Online

BANGKOK (BERNAMA) – Michelin Guide Thailand announced Michelin stars for 28 restaurants in Thailand for 2021, reported TNA.

Representatives of the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Michelin Guide Thailand announced the accolade for the local restaurants.

Two-star status went to six restaurants including one upgraded awardee, Chef’s Table – a French restaurant that prepared foods with premium ingredients from worldwide sources.

One-star honours went to 22 restaurants, including two newcomers – French restaurant Blue by Alain Ducasse and Cadence by Dan Bark which innovatively combined eastern and western foods.

Michelin Guide Thailand also launched the new Michelin Green Star to raise awareness on environmental conservation.

The new accreditation went to PRU restaurant in Phuket that also obtained one-star status. The restaurant reduced carbon emissions, the use of chemicals and food waste, and used only local and fresh ingredients.

Besides, the Bib Gourmand status was presented to 106 restaurants and the Michelin Plate honour to 165 restaurants.
