Korean celebrity news media outlets reported that the two actors have been in a romantic relationship for more than half a year.

Ah, another reel-life romance turned real between drama co-stars. In some uplifting news to start the year off, it seems that Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, the 38-year-old leads of hugely popular Korean drama Crash Landing On You, are officially a couple.

Korean celebrity news outlet Dispatch made the big reveal on Jan 1, saying the pair had been dating for eight months.

Entertainment site Soompi then published statements from the actors’ management agencies, with VAST Entertainment stating on behalf of Hyun Bin: “Actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin met through their projects, and after the end of their drama, their positive feelings towards one another developed into a romantic relationship. We ask that you look warmly upon their relationship and cheer them on in the future.”

Similarly, Soompi reported that Son Ye-jin’s agency MS Team Entertainment confirmed: “The two of them got to know each other through their acting projects, and after the end of their drama, they developed an interest in each other and ended up dating.”

Rumours had been rife about the pair, but their denials of their romantic relationship had been true – up until March 2020, when they reconnected months after filming for Crash Landing On You had wrapped, Dispatch reported a source close to Hyun Bin as saying.

According to the anonymous source, they began to miss each other after spending time apart.
