Hyun Bin bagged the Daesang at APAN Star Awards 2020 for his role in Crash Landing On You. The actor thanked his co-star and girlfriend Son Ye Jin in his acceptance speech.
Hyun Bin made his first appearance at the APAN Star Awards 2020 since his relationship with Son Ye Jin was made official. The actor not only walked the red carpet but he also won the Daesang for his role in Crash Landing On You. The actor accepted the award and thanked a slew of people, including his girlfriend aka co-star Son Ye Jin. As reported by Soompi, Hyun Bin began by expressing his gratitude towards the awards show. "Thank you. I’m happy to be starting off 2021 with such a big award," he said.
He added that this award makes him want to work harder. "I feel like I should work even harder this year to repay this honour," he confessed. The actor reflected upon the continuous love the tvN show has been receiving long after it has ended and thanked fans for it. "Even now, ‘Crash Landing on You’ is receiving a lot of love. Thank you to the fans of ‘Crash Landing on You,’ not only in Korea but all over the world," he said.
The actor thanked the director, writer, and everyone involved in the making and success of Crash Landing On You. "Many people worked hard in order to create ‘Crash Landing on You.’ I am grateful to the writer, the directors, and all the production staff. It was an honour to work with such amazing peers, seniors, and juniors, who all showed great acting," he said. Hyun Bin finally mentions Son Ye Jin and expressed his gratitude for her support in the show. He said, "I am also grateful to Son Ye Jin, whose Yoon Se Ri was the perfect partner for Ri Jung Hyuk. It was thanks to her brilliant acting as Yoon Se Ri that Ri Jung Hyuk was able to shine. Thank you.”
He assured to work hard and teased that his movie would probably release this year. "I think that I will be releasing a movie this year, and I am cautiously hoping for the day that we can meet in the movie theater without masks and smile brightly. Please stay healthy and happy. I hope that this year will be much better than the last," he concluded.
