  • The action-packed trailer begins with Liu standing in front of a martial art training log where he probably spent most of his life training.

We can hear a voiceover of Liu's master in the background, as he reminisces on his past, doing hardcore martial arts training as a kid.

The trailer shows a vast and colorful world with a lot of fascinating fight sequences.

  • Here's why Liu is perfect for this role and film

  • Interestingly, Liu himself has a background in martial art forms like Taekwondo and Wing Chun.

He also has done gymnastics and been a stuntman, which makes him perfect for this role.

Separately, the actor is well-known for starring in the award-winning sitcom Kim's Convenience.

For his work in the crime drama series Blood and Water, he has won a Canadian Screen Award.

Rounding up the cast are Fala Chen, Meng'er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng.

Notably, the Shang-Chi film entered the development stage way back in 2001, but it wasn't until 2019 that the project was fast-tracked.

  • 'Shang-Chi' is part of MCU 4, slated for September release

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Just like many other films and productions, this film also faced production difficulties due to the pandemic. The film is currently slated to release on September 3 this year.
